PCC advises in the areas of financial restructurings, property, mergers and acquisitions. PCC also undertakes deal identification, conception and structuring. Capital raising forms an integral part of the service offered. Business valuation is a necessary part of PCC’s service and these valuations are used as a basis for strategy determination.

The project management of a transaction through all its steps is a core competency of PCC. Management of the transaction encompasses negotiation, due diligence, structuring, documentation and where appropriate, listings. In particular, opportunities will be sought for listing opportunities on the new alternative exchange (“AltX”) of the JSE Securities Exchange.

Structured Finance

PCC advises and executes structured and asset based finance opportunities. Identification of projects and project participants combined with capital raising and structuring, forms the core of the advisory function.

PCC has a strong network of able project managers and alliances forming a formidable unit capable of implementation of complex structures. As with corporate finance PCC has the expertise to project manage the transaction.

Project Finance

PCC’s approach to project finance is to design a suitable structure involving complementary role players. Attention is given to an appropriate combination of debt and equity, the role of technical sponsors to mitigate performance risk and suitable marketing or off-take arrangements. PCC works with the client in preparing an appropriate business plan and financial model.

Strategic Management Advisory
 
PCC can provide an overall business advisory service. PCC will analyze either a division of a particular business or a group of companies with a view to evaluating and recommending appropriate strategies.

James Anderson's Background

James currently heads up PCC's Financial Division. James was educated at Edinburgh and Glasgow Academies.  He then studied at Aberdeen University, where he gained an LL.B in 1966. He obtained the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland qualification in 1969, serving his apprenticeship with Kerr, Macleod and MacFarlane, the firm which is now Deloittes, Scotland.
